Wood Brace 74T1 offers a taller-than-wide curved silhouette with restrained end transitions. The Design 74 profile gives customers another outline to compare alongside the plain, stepped, and rounded-end families.
Its standard footprint is 18" projection × 23" height. These measurements describe horizontal and vertical reach, not the diagonal length of the brace. Choose Smooth in 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", or Rough Sawn in 3 1/2" or 5 1/2". Thickness and finish are selected together on this product.
Made from Western Red Cedar, this wooden knee brace brings natural timber detail to pergolas, porches, entryways, canopies, and interior post-and-beam accents. Review the model-specific specification sheet before ordering. Suitability for load-bearing use depends on the complete assembly, connections, and installation; product dimensions alone do not establish a load rating.

Wood Brace 74T1 is crafted in the USA and finished by hand. Natural variations in grain, knots, color, and surface texture are part of real cedar, so each piece has its own character.

Care & Finish
Smooth and Rough Sawn describe the wood surface, not a protective coating. Apply a suitable paint or stain for the intended exposure and follow the coating manufacturer’s preparation and maintenance instructions.
- Seal all faces, edges, and cut ends before or during installation.
- Allow for drainage and ventilation, and avoid direct ground contact.
- Inspect the finish periodically and recoat as needed for the exposure.

Standard Configuration for Wood Brace 74T1
Standard material: Western Red Cedar. Choose Smooth in 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", or Rough Sawn in 3 1/2" or 5 1/2". Thickness and finish are selected together on this product.
Specifications: Projection 18", Height 23", Brace Thickness 1 1/2" or 2 1/2" or 3 1/2" or 4 1/2" or 5 1/2".
Custom Options
Request a different size, profile, thickness, wood species, or surface treatment. Custom surface requests can include True Rough, Rustic, or S4S No Sanding. Appearance requests can include Paint Grade, Color Match Selection, or Stain Grade + Color Match Selection.
