4x6 Western Red Cedar Timber – Rough Sawn (RS)
A classic, natural-textured finish that works beautifully in both rustic and modern designs. Our RS finish is created by re-sawing mill-planed timbers, resulting in a clean yet organic surface that blends effortlessly with a wide range of architectural styles.
This finish is standard on our Architectural Timber products labeled as Rough Sawn, ensuring a consistent and matching appearance when used together.
It is ideal for both transparent and solid stain applications, allowing the natural character of the wood to show through or be fully covered while maintaining its texture.
Size Note: The listed size “4x6” refers to the nominal dimensions. The actual finished size is 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", with a manufacturing tolerance of ±1/16". As a natural material, minor movement or shrinkage can occur after processing.
Appearance Note: No repairs are made to the wood in this finish. Wood filler or putty is not applied, preserving the timber’s natural texture and character.
