5/4x16 Engineered Western Red Cedar Board – Rough Sawn
Our 5/4x16 Engineered Western Red Cedar Board with a two-sided Rough Sawn finish delivers a natural, textured appearance while offering enhanced structural stability. Both wide faces retain a resawn texture, and the two long edges are planed to remove saw roughness but may require additional finishing depending on where the board is installed and the visual standard required.
Manufactured from finger-jointed and laminated Western Red Cedar, this board is designed for exterior trim and cladding where a rustic or natural wood appearance is desired. It offers reduced movement, consistent sizing, and is ideal for applications where solid cedar may be prone to instability.
Applications: Ideal for beam wrapping, fascia, vertical cladding, gable accents, and decorative trim in projects that prioritize natural wood character and dimensional stability.
Size Note: The nominal size is 5/4x16. The actual finished size is 1 1/8" x 16 1/4", with a manufacturing tolerance of ±1/16". Lengths are typically available in 4', 8', 10', 12', 16', or 20'.
Appearance Note: Both faces are rough sawn. The edges are lightly planed but not sanded, and may require further finishing depending on placement and desired aesthetics. No filler or surface repair is applied unless upgraded with our custom Smooth Finish option.
Finish Requirement: A field-applied topcoat is required after installation to protect the board and maintain the manufacturer’s warranty.
