Turning Cedar Shavings into Something Remarkable — Our Partnership with Southern Ground

We’re excited to spotlight a sustainability partnership that takes “zero-waste” from idea to real product.

Southern Ground, a Georgia-based maker of clean, outdoor burn mixes and incense products, is now using our Western Red Cedar shavings as part of their blends. Instead of going to waste, our cedar offcuts are being repurposed into something useful, natural, and thoughtfully made — right here in our home state.

Southern Ground products are made with recycled espresso (coffee) grounds and locally sourced sawdust shavings, then infused with essential oils to create an easy, natural way to enhance outdoor living. Their blends are 99% reclaimed coffee grounds and sawdust, with 1% essential oils by weight, and are designed for simple, clean-burning use on porches, patios, decks, and around backyard gathering spaces.
